What the enquiry form collects

The form on this site asks for your name, a way to reach you, which kind of work you are asking about, what kind of building your floor is in, and a description of the job. Only a contact detail is genuinely required, because without one there is no way to answer you.

What you send is used to reply to your enquiry, to price the work, and to carry the job out if you decide to go ahead. It is not sold, it is not rented, and it is not passed to anyone who is not involved in answering you or doing the work.

You are not signing up to anything by sending it. Submitting the form does not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing to people who asked us about a floor.

Analytics

Flooring Masters Brooklyn uses Google Analytics to understand how this website is found and used. It records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the kind of device and browser you use, and how you arrived. It also records that an enquiry form was submitted, so we know which pages lead to enquiries. It sets cookies to do that.

It does not record your name, your phone number, your email address or anything you type into the enquiry form. Those go to us and only to us, and are never sent to Google. Advertising features and cross-site tracking are switched off.

Google may process this data outside your country. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics also works, and blocking it does not affect the enquiry form or anything else on this site.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising trackers.

The analytics described above may set a cookie so that a returning visit is recognised as the same visit rather than a new one. Your browser settings control whether it can, and blocking it does not stop any part of this site from working.

There is nothing else. No advertising pixels, no social media trackers, no session recording and no third party scripts beyond the analytics and the web font.

The typeface

The pages on this site use a typeface served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, and that request carries your IP address in the way any web request does. Google's own terms cover what they do with it.

No information you type into the form is involved, and blocking the font changes nothing except which letters the page is drawn with.

How long anything is kept

Enquiries are kept while they are live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that if you come back to us later about the same floor we still know what was discussed and what was quoted.

Where work goes ahead, the record of the job is kept for as long as normal business and tax requirements need it.

Analytics data is held under the retention settings of the analytics service and is not linked to anything you sent through the form.

Asking us to remove your details

You can ask us to delete the details you sent, and we will, unless we are required to keep a record of completed work for tax or legal reasons.

Send the request through the form on the contact page, using the same contact detail you originally sent so we can find the right enquiry.

You can also ask what we hold about you and we will tell you.

Changes to this page

If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it. The analytics section above is generated from the site's actual configuration rather than written by hand, so it describes what the pages really do rather than what was intended when someone last edited a policy.
